Stachys albens (hedgenettle) in the creek, now dormant and waiting for the fall rains.

It has been a dry year. This time last year, these plants, just downstream from Bear Spring, were fairly dry, but still green. See a stachys albens photo in last year's Henry Coe travelogue.
