The trail to Board Spring starts out road-like, but it's rather grown-in as it approaches its end at the spring.

Riding down Monterey Road in south San José.

About five miles south of home, riding through suburban sprawl. It's not pretty, and there's lots of traffic, but it's a flat and efficient ride, without too many traffic signals. And a nice bike lane much of the way.
